R.I.P. Mickey Spillane
Mickey Spillane, the author who created the private detective Mike Hammer, died last month. I find this pretty sad...his work was brutal, razor-sharp noir, and he is also responsible for such film classics as Kiss Me, Deadly. Really it seems that his work was Sin City 50 years before the fact.
